Special Chinese Pancakes


I love to eat pizza. Our Chinese also has a kind of pancake so-called Chinese Pancake. It is delicious and we can add a variety of fillings or stuffing inside. In order to diversify it from original corn and peanut fillings flavour, we can also add egg, ham, cheese, sausage, tuna fish and much more.


From Original to Variety of Chinese Pancakes

I love the crispy Chinese Pancake, much more than the thick (traditional) Chinese Pancake. I love Chinese Pancake because of its crispy taste, and the filling is the next thing, as long as there is sugar, a little peanut and corn will do.

Some people even introduced salty Chinese pancakes with eggs, ham, cheese... as long as you can think of them, they can do it. The hawker idea is amazing. The filling is ever-changing, from ordinary or single corn, peanuts, eggs, ham, cheese, sweetened creamer, coconut floss, bananas, raisins, peanut butter and even chocolate paste, chicken floss, sausage, tuna fish...

All fillings can also be combined and matched, such as cheese with chicken ham, cheese with chicken floss; ham, egg and sausage with Mayonnaise; cheese with tuna fish; sweetened creamer with chocolate paste and so on.



Special Chinese Pancake with Delicious
Stuffings

Chinese Pancake is hot and only nice to eat after cool. The skin is very crispy, although if we don't add any stuffing inside. Generally speaking, we can predict the taste. Original flavour, with peanut and corn is moist and sweet; egg with peanut flavour, the added egg flavour is not obvious; blueberry with peanut flavour, blueberry is very sweet and sour; cheese with peanut flavour, cheese is the most prominent of them. Mainly because it is salty, but only one slice of the Chinese Pancake the peanut fillings is not touched in many parts, it also smells like peanuts...

After eating, we found that no matter what kind of fillings are added, it is hard to replace the peanut flavour. It turned out that after putting different fillings, the hawker sprinkled a lot of peanuts with pride. In this way, the Chinese Pancake that could have been changed a lot was inseparable from blooming and fragrant of the peanut smell in the end. Peanuts are not guilty. The only fault is that it tastes too strong and can complement certain materials, but it is more often than not.

If you don’t add peanuts, this Chinese Pancake would be even more delicious if it only relies on adding stuffings. Next time when I meet Chinese Pancake again, I will ask the hawker not to add peanut fillings but add more cheese fillings to see how it tastes. I think it will taste more like pizza with crispy skin and more delicious!



How About Pancake Pizza? 

There is another kind of Indian Pancake, is round shape and not folded in half, like a disc, four stacked in a transparent plastic bag, and the heart is filled with sweet corn fillings. It is better to call it "biscuit cake" rather than "cake". As long as it is not damp, it tastes crispy, which taste is very good.

In conclusion, I love Chinese Pancake because of its crispy texture, but the filling is second, as long as with sugar, a little peanut and corn will do.

Maybe for Pizza lovers, we can modify Chinese Pancake as the base of Pizza topping with sliced sausage, ham, tuna fish or meatballs and put more cheese fillings on it to melt. The Indian Roti Canai as the Pizza's base also under my suggestion list.
